Andrea Everett is a second year Principal at Meadow Lakes Elementary in Wasilla, Alaska and was recently selected to open Dena'ina Elementary this coming fall.  She previously served as a teacher and Instructional Coach before taking the leap into leadership.  Andrea had the opportunity to present on this topic at the state principal conference this year and is passionate about the art of educational leadership.

Eric is a Senior Fellow and Thought Leader on Digital Leadership with the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE).  Prior to this he was the award-winning Principal at New Milford High School.  
 
Under his leadership his school became a globally recognized model for innovative practices.  Eric oversaw the successful implementation of several sustainable change initiatives that radically transformed the learning culture at his school while increasing achievement. 

His work focuses on leading and learning in the digital age as a model for moving schools and districts forward. This has led to the formation of the Pillars of Digital Leadership, a framework for all educators to initiate sustainable change to transform school cultures.  As a result Eric has emerged as an innovative leader, best selling author, and sought after speaker.  His main focus is purposeful integration of technology to facilitate student learning, improve communications with stakeholders, enhance public relations, create a positive brand presence, discover opportunity, transform learning spaces, and help educators grow professionally.

Eric began his career in education as a Science Teacher at Watchung Hills Regional High School where he taught a variety of subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Marine Biology, Ecology) and coached several sports (ice hockey, football, lacrosse). He then transitioned into the field of educational administration as an Athletic Director/Supervisor of Physical Education & Health and Vice Principal in the New Milford School District. During his administrative career he has served as District Affirmative Action Officer and was the president of the New Milford Administrator’s Association. During his tenure as high school principal he successfully implemented numerous initiatives including a new teacher evaluation system (McREL), Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), oversaw Common Core implementation, and initiated a new grading philosophy. Eric received his M.Ed. in Educational Administration from East Stroudsburg University, B.S. in Biology from Salisbury University, and his B.S. in Marine/Environmental Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

A twenty-plus-year educator, Nathan Barber has served in a number of roles including teacher, coach and administrator. He currently serves as a high school principal at an independent school in Houston. Barber has written and published thirteen books, mostly in the field of education, along with a novel called Resurrecting Lazarus, Texas. Barber’s most recent project, What Teachers Can Learn from Sports Coaches: A Playbook of Instructional Strategies, rolled off the presses in August of 2014.

Kirk Linton is a Vice Principal with the Calgary Catholic School District and is the recipient of the 2015 Distinguished Vice Principal of the Year award from the Canadian Association of Principals and the 2015 Alberta Distinguished Leadership Award from the Council for School Leadership. He is a champion of inquiry-based learning, technology in schools, physical literacy and the Arts. He is also a trumpet player and recovering band teacher.

 

Kevin DeForge is a Principal in the Calgary Catholic School District and was selected as one of Canada's Outstanding Principals in 2016. Kevin was also the recipient of the 2014 Alberta Distinguished Leadership Award from the Council for School Leadership and is a speaker for various conferences and organizations like uLead, the Calgary Regional Consortium and the Rural Education Symposium. Kevin, a self-professed "techno geek", is an advocate for student driven learning and believes in the integration of technology with inquiry-based learning to best support today's diverse learners. Kevin is a competitive runner and enjoys time with his family.

About Theresa:

Theresa Stager is a Co-Host of PrincipalPLN podcast which can be found at principalpln.com and on iTunes. She is currently in her third year as Building Principal and Lead Learner at St. Mary Catholic School in Rockwood, MI. She has implemented a 1:1 iPad program and is excited to be able to merge her love of technology, learning and education with this position. She lives in Huron Township, MI with husband Brian and two children Audrey and Jacob. Theresa believes that as long as you are making the decisions that are best for kids, you can’t go wrong.

Theresa earned her Bachelor of Music Education from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI in 2003 and a Master in Educational Administration (Assessment and Evaluation) at University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2007. She taught for 8 years as a public school music educator teaching general music and band starting in 2003 as well as co-directing the high school vocal music program. She also worked for 2 years as an Implementation Director at an Human Resources company until 2013. Ms. Stager has been an accompanist at St. Blase Catholic Church in Sterling Heights, MI since September 1998. She accompanied a 180-member choir at Carnegie Hall in New York City with guest artist Liam Lawton as well as performing with a host of artists at the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) in Detroit, 2010. Her biggest musical accomplishment was being asked to perform for Pope Benedict XVI in Rome during November, 2012 concert tour throughout Italy, and playing the organ at St. Peter’s Cathedral during a mass. Mrs. Stager has worked as a guest accompanist for GIA Publications and can be heard on Stephen Petrunak’s Dove Award-Nominated Album “Love Beyond All Measure”

Theresa has presented at many music, administration and technology conferences in her career. Her music education blog was nominated and chosen as one of the Top 75 eCollegeFinder Music and Arts Enthusiasts Award Winners. Theresa was featured in Dr. Spike Cook’s first book “Connected Leadership: It’s Just a Click Away.” Theresa, along with Dr. Spike Cook and Jessica Johnson have cowritten their first book “Breaking Out of Isolation: Becoming a Connected School Leader” published by Corwin Press.

Dan McMinimee joined Jeffco Public Schools (serving the greater Denver area) on July 1, 2014 as superintendent. He has spent his professional life of 28 years devoted to public education. Dan received his undergrad from Adams State College and his graduate degree from Oregon State University. In addition, he has successfully completed 54 hours of post graduate work in the Administrative Certificate program at Portland State University and the Educational Leadership Program at University of Colorado - Denver. Dan has experience as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, athletic director, principal and district-level administrator working at all levels K-12.

Jon Corippo is the Director of Academic Innovation for CUE, leading professional learning and his creation, the CUE Rock Star Camp series. These small, hands on camps will be lead by admins, and be designed for admins, focusing on new skills that are needed for 1:1 deployment, Common Core, Project based learning, social media skills and many other skills that there is simply no equivalent for in education.

 

Jon keynotes, leads and designs Professional Learning experiences all over the country and is a Google Certified Innovator, has been a Lead Learner for a Google Teacher Academy, and is also an Apple Distinguished Educator and has facilitated sessions in Final Cut Pro for the 2013 Apple Institute in Austin, TX. Jon was the co-designer of Minarets High School, which has been named an Apple Distinguished School three times. Jon has been named a CUE Gold Disk Recipient, Madera County Teacher of the Year, and CVCUE Teacher of the Year. Jon has served as an Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction and Director of Technology at the county level. Jon’s last district was selected as a Future Ready District, implementing 1:1 from 7th grade up, adding coding, 3d printing, PBL and Minecraft Edu in all K-8 schools, among other notable innovative activities.

Melinda Miller is a 21 year veteran teacher and administrator for Willard Schools in Willard, Missouri. She is passionate about connecting and sharing with other educators and believes in the power of connections and networks to facilitate personal and professional growth. In 2008, Melinda was voted Southwest Missouri’s New Principal of the Year, and in 2010, she was chosen to participate in the Google Teacher Academy to become a Google Certified Teacher. From 2012 to 2014, she served as the president of the Southwest Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals and in 2015, Melinda was selected to represent her region as a Distinguished Principal candidate.


Melinda has been a leader in educational technology and has presented on multiple technology topics across the state, including three annual EdcampSGF unconferences she has organized herself.

Dr. Adam Drummond is a veteran educator who has served as an elementary and middle school teacher, K-12 technology specialist, elementary and secondary professional development coordinator, assistant principal, and most recently as a principal. He earned his doctorate in education in 2014 from Ball State University, and currently serves as the Zone 5 Board of Directors for the National Association of Elementary School Principals. Dr. Susan Bunting has been superintendent of the Indian River School District since July 2006. Prior to assuming the head leadership position she spent 28 years in the district as a middle school language arts teacher, an elementary gifted/talented teacher, Supervisor of Elementary Instruction and K-12 Director of Instruction. An experienced conference presenter at both state and national conferences, Dr. Bunting co-created Indian River’s Leadership Institute, which has been recognized as a Superstar in Education by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she designed and leads the district’s Administrative Development Program, and created Project V.I.L.L.A.G.E., the district’s program for economically challenged four-year-olds. In 2012, Bunting was nominated as one of the four finalists for the National Superintendent of the Year award by the American Association of School Administrators—the first superintendent in Delaware to achieve this distinction.
