Shane is the Principal of Abingdon-Avon High School in west central Illinois. The district is in the third year of a consolidation and the second year of a 1:1 initiative. This marks Shane's ninth year in education and his fifth as a high school principal.

Jeff Gasaway has been an administrator for 14 years serving as assistant principal, director of Human Resources, and has now been the principal at Midway High School for the past 5 years. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and his master’s degree from Texas A&M in Commerce, Texas.  He is currently working on his doctorate from Baylor University.  His wife, Kara, is a teacher and they have been married for 15 years and have two sons.

Dr. Todd Pettit holds a B.S. in Music Education, as well as an M.S. and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Dr. Pettit is the principal of Kreitner Elementary School in Collinsville, Illinois, which serves nearly 400 students. Todd is also a member of the Illinois Principals Association and is currently serving on the Board of Directors.

Curt Rees is the principal of Northern Hills Elementary in the Onalaska School District in southwest Wisconsin.  Curt has been an administrator for 15 years and before that he was an elementary teacher.  Curt is a doctoral student at the University of Kentucky with a research interest in how district policies address student data privacy.  In addition to work and study, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids.

Douglas Timm is in his second year as Principal of Carrie Downie Elementary School in the Colonial School District located in New Castle, Delaware. He has been a school administrator since 2005 and now leads a school community that supports each other, takes academic risks, and accepts all challenges to unlock the full potential of their 21st century learners. Doug truly believes in systems, processes, and using technology to enhance learning and to create student entrepreneurs.

Dr. Michael Shapiro is serving in his second year as the principal of Highland Tech Charter School in Anchorage, Alaska. He previously served as principal of Shepard Middle School in Deerfield, Illinois for seven years, during which time the school earned a U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon Award. Michael began his educational career as a computer applications teacher and director of instructional technology. He recently earned his doctorate in Administration and Supervision at Loyola University in Chicago.

Ben is the principal at Warner Elementary in the Western School District in Spring Arbor, Michigan.  He is a student-centered educator that is focused on collaboration, teamwork, student engagement and leadership. Ben earned his Elementary Education degree from Tri-State University, his Masters in Education from Spring Arbor University and his Educational Leadership Certificate from Eastern Michigan University. Ben was recognized as one of the top 5 elementary principals by BAMM radio and recognized as one of the top 100 educational voices in 2014.

Dr. Joe Sanfelippo is the Superintendent of the Fall Creek School District in Fall Creek, WI. Joe holds a BA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from St. Norbert College, a MS in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a MS in Educational Leadership, and a PhD in Leadership, Learning, and Service from Cardinal Stritch University.  Joe is also an adjunct professor in the Educational Leadership Department at Viterbo University. Joe has taught Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, and 5th Grade.  He was also a school counselor and coach prior to taking on an elementary principalship in 2005.  Joe has served as a principal in suburban and rural Wisconsin. He has been the Superintendent in Fall Creek since 2011.

Dr. Kyle Palmer is currently serving his 9th year as Principal of Lewis and Clark Elementary in Liberty, MO. Kyle began his career as a 4th grade teacher in Ankeny, Iowa.  He received his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa in 1999, his Master’s degree in Education Leadership from Drake University in 2006, and his Doctorate degree in Education Leadership from Baker University in 2013. Kyle’s wife Tarah is an assistant principal in the North Kansas City School District. Kyle has three sons (Karson, Kal, and Kauffman) and one daughter (Klaire).  Kyle and Tarah have been married for 14 wonderful years and reside in Liberty, MO.  Kyle was named the Distinguished Principal for the Clay-Platte region of MAESP in 2013 and won the New Principal award from the same region in 2009.  Under his leadership, Lewis and Clark was designated as an “National Model PLC School” by Solution Tree in 2013-14 and again recently in 2015. Lewis and clark has also been named an  “ICLE Model School” in 2015 and was hi-lited at the 2015 Model Schools Conference. In addition to his principal duties, Kyle also is a consultant with Solution Tree and the ICLE, as well as doing leadership coaching and training to become a John Maxwell certified trainer and coach.

Before he became a principal he taught elementary school for eleven years. Amy Fadeji is in her fourth year as principal at Penngrove Elementary in Petaluma, California. Amy thrives on reaching out to educators across the country to build a growing network of innovative and inspiring colleagues. After attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and later the University of Southern Mississippi, Amy taught second and third grades for seven years before launching her career in administration. Amy finds great joy spending her days supporting students and teachers in their learning adventures. She lives for deep and meaningful connections with students and enjoys fostering those connections long after students have left her school. She is passionate about modeling and encouraging risk-taking, fostering collaboration, and she delights in helping other administrators and teachers do the same!  She enjoys traveling, presenting, learning, and sharing with other educators around the country. And in all of that spare time she has, she also co-hosts Techlandia Radio podcast with Jon Samuelson.
